Iran Executes Prisoners In Kashan, Karaj And Birjand

Iranian authorities executed a prisoner in Kashan Prison on Wednesday, July 3, according to judicial authorities.

َAccording to the Human Rights in Iran, on Wednesday, July3, Majid Sadr Executed in Kashan Prison.

According to an informed source, the victim who was identified as Majid Sadr was tortured to confess to the murder of a woman.

Rouhollah Dehqani, deputy prosecutor for criminal affairs of Kashan said the victim was sentenced to Qisas (retaliation in Kind) on a murder charge.

Earlier Iranian authorities hanged three prisoners in Raja’i Shahr Prison of Karaj, northwest of Tehran, and in the city of Birjand, eastern Iran.

Two of the prisoners, Hassan Baradaran and Mehdi Assadias were hanged on Wednesday in Raja’i Shahr Prison.

The third prisoner who has not been named by the media was hanged in Birjand Prison on Thursday morning.

A week before this Iranian regime hanged five prisoners at dawn on June 26, in Raja’i Shahr Prison.
The names of four of those hanged have been published as Majid Hassanzadeh, Hanif Motahari-Nejad, Gorban-Mohammad Suleimani, and Mehdi Burbur.

Gorban-Mohammad Suleimani was 50 years old and had spent 10 years in prison.

Iran has the world’s highest number of executions per capita. UN human rights bodies have condemned the Iranian regime on 65 occasions for its gross human rights violations.

According to the International Human Rights  at least 285 people were executed in that year, 11 of them in public. They included 10 political prisoners and at least 4 women. Six individuals were executed for crimes they allegedly committed as minors.

The clerical regime in Iran uses the death penalty as a tool to suppress and silence a disgruntled society the majority of whom live under the poverty line, are unemployed and deprived of freedom of speech.

Iran is the world’s top record holder in per capita executions. More than 3,600 people have been executed in Iran since Rouhani took office in 2013.
