Restrictions on freedom of Zahra Mohammadi
Human Rights in Iran – despite the security bond issued for the release of “Zahra Mohammadi” cultural activist, a resident of Sanandaj and a member of the Cultural Association – Social “Nvzhyn” The judiciary has prevented his release.
According to Human Rights in Iran, Zahra Mohammadi, a cultural activist living in Sanandaj, and a member of the Nojin Cultural-Social Association, were detained following completion of interrogation and conversion. Bail was set at $ 5 million bail despite his family’s bail, but he was prevented by the Judge Shahgeldi, the head of the Branch 6 of the Sanandaj Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Revolutionary Court.
According to an informed source: Due to the interrogation of “Zahra Mohammadi” more than six months earlier, she has been locked up in the Sanandaj Correctional Center.
The informed source also said that Ibn cultural activist was transferred to the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court once on Wednesday, September 18, without the knowledge of his lawyer, who was re-arrested after protesting the lawyer and his family.
Zahra Mohammadi was arrested on May 23 following the raid of Sanandaj Intelligence Agency agents at her home along with 2 other members of the Nojin Association. The family of the civil activist were able to meet with her on Thursday, May 30, after 8 days of their Daughter in detention.
Idris Monbari, Ribvar Monbari, arrested by security forces on 23 May, along with Zahra Ahmadi, were temporarily released from Sanandaj Intelligence Bureau detention on 26 May.
Continuation of the detention of Zahra Ahmadi, a cultural activist and member of the Nojin Cultural Association, on Jun 26, 2019, Sirvan Ebrahimi, the head of the cultural association in Kamyaran, along with Menat Rahmani, a Kurdish language teacher was arrested by security forces in the city and taken to an unknown location.
