Tahsin Dadras, political prisoner Transferred from Marivan prison to Sanandaj Central Prison

Human Rights in Iran – On Thursday April 2nd 2020, Tahsin Dadras, political prisoner jailed in Marivan Prison was transferred to Central Prison in Sanandaj. This politcal prisoner is serving his 6 years conviction in prison.

According to the report of Human Rights in Iran- On Thursday April 2nd 2020, Tahsin Dadras, the political prisoner who is serving his 6 years conviction in Marivan Prison on the charge of ” collusion with an anti-regime Kurdish group ” was transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison.

It should be remarked that on Thursday November 30th 2017, Tahsin Dadras was detained by Intelligence Office agents in Marivan county on the charge of ” collusion with an anti-regime Kurdish group”.

After the case of this Sunni political activist was referred to the jurisdictions for investigation and hearing, at the time of his custody in penitentiary of Intelligence Office in Marivan, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

On Monday January 30th 2018, after spending 5 months in solitary confinement and also serving 4 months in Marivan Prison, altogether 9 months solitary confinement, including the detention period and interrogation time up to the issuance of the verdict, he was released temporarily on depositing a bail for the sum of 500 million Tomans, until the hearing procedure is accomplished and the Court of Appeals in Marivan announces the determined sentence.

The individuals’ accessibility to the right of a fair judgement by an impartial court is one of the emphasized cases in International Instrument of Human Rights, Article 10 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as in Article 14 of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights adopted on December 16th 1966.
