Zahra Zare’ Seraji, Was release before the end of her Imprisonment, Morteza Nazari Sedhi’s deprivation of treatment
Human Rights in Iran – Saturday April 11th 2020, Morteza Nazari Sedhi, political prisoner jailed in brigade 4, corridor 3 in Evin Prison has been deprived of medical services. This politcal prisonesr is serving his 7 years sentence of Imprisonment because of 2 judicial cases. Also his wife, Zahra Zare’Seraji who is on leave, was released the current day after confirmation of her request for parole followed by the recent directive of Judiciary in order to release prisoners. Zahra Seraji was sentenced to a total of 2 years in prison.
According to the report of Human Rights in Iran- On Saturday April 11th 2020, along with the directive of Judiciary in order to release prisonesrs, Zahra Seraji, the political prisoner kept in women’s ward of Qarchak Prison in Varamin, who was sent on leave February 26th 2020, was granted a parole. The parole was granted her in the case that if the prisoner commits a crime after release, in addition to the recent sentence, she must serve the remaining sentence before his/her parole. Also her husband Morteza Nazari Sedhi, jailed in brigade 4, corridor 3 in Evin Prison who is serving his 7 years prison sentence because of 2 lawsuits, regarding his blood pressure, migraine and neurological diseases has been barred from being dispatched to special medical center.
While the speaking of a well-informed source to the reporter of Human Rights in Iran-, it was said: ” After the confirmation of Zahra Zare’ Seraji’s request, this politcal prisonesr kept in ward of Qarchak Prison in Varamin, was sent on leave on Wednesday, February 26th (2020), and on Saturday, April 11th (2020) the letter of her conditional release was issued and referred to branch 2 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Baharestan county, therefore from today on Zahra Zare’Seraji is permanently free.”
This credible source about Morteza Nazari Sedhi, the husband of Zahra Zare’ Seraji added: ” This politcal prisonesr who is at present in brigade 4, corridor 3 of Evin Prison, suffering from blood pressure, migraine and neurological diseases, is deprived of access to medical services, and every time he requests the prison officials for hospitalization, he is said to be calm and not distressed, however he is in a state that must be sent out of Evin Prison to special medical center, of course it not fulfilled so far.”

On Monday June 15th 2020, Morteza Nazari Sedhi in companion of 5 other political prisoners, Reza Mohammad Hossein, Hossein Salak, Ali Baz Azadeh, Behrooz Zare’ and Mohsen Amir Pour, jailed in brigade 4, corridor 3 of Evin Prison had gone on a hunger strike becsuse of their lack of a fair trial, and following the realisation of Evin Prison authorities about their hunger strike, they were summoned to the office of Evin Prison’s head and were transferred to an unknown place. On July 25th 2019, following the promise of the judicial authorities in Evin Prison to investigate their demands, all these prisonesrs ended conditionally their hunger strike.
On Sunday, September 29th 2019, after these prisoners’ case was referred to branch 2 I’m Circle of Enforcement for criminal sentences in Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Baharestan county, Zahra Zare’ Seraji was arrested and transferred to women’s ward of Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
In the summer of 2019, Morteza Nazari Sedhi was trialled because of another case by branch 28 of Tehran Revolution Court, headed by Mohammad Moghiseh on the charges with ” propaganda against the System “, ” dissemination of falsehoods on virtual media ” and ” formation of illegal groups ” which was sentenced to serve 5 years in prison.

Morteza Nazari Sedhi was convicted to 13 years in prison and 2 years of exile to Ezna county in Lorestan province on the charges of ” dessemination of falsehoods on virtual media ” and ” formation of illegal group “. Zahra Zare’ Seraji also was sentenced to pay a 4 million Tomans monetary fine and an 8-year prison conviction.
After completing the interrogation process in branch 2 of Baharestan Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office, Morteza Nazari Sedhi and Zahra Zare’ Seraji were justified of their charges on ” propaganda against the System “, ” dissemination of falsehoods on virtual media ” and ” formation an illegal group “. On Thursday April 19th 2018, Zahra Zare’ Seraji went to convulsions, however despite her serious condition, she was left in a state of uncertainty and was deprived of conditional freedom. Despite offering 4 civil documents for release of Morteza Nazari Sedhi and his wife, the investigator of branch 2 in Baharestan Prosecutor’s Office, she was only released eventually on a bail of 200 million Tomans up to the end of hearing proceedings.
