Zaniar Nour Mahammad, a citizen residing in Sanandaj Was arrested by security forces


Human Rights in Iran – Following the raid on the workplace of Zaiar Nour Mahammad, a resident of Nureh (Nawara) village in n Sanandaj county, this citizen was arrested by security forces on Sunday, May 10th 2020 and transferred to an unknown location.

According to Human Rights in Iran, on Tuesday, May 5th 2020, Zaniar Nour Mohammad, a citizen living in Nureh (Nawara) village around Sanandaj, was arrested after the raid of Sanandaj Intelligence Department forces on his workplace in Electric company, and taken to an unknown location.

As stated in the report, after the arrest of Zaniar Nour Mohammad, a worker of Sanandaj Electric company, security forces transferred him to an unknown place.

According to the talks of a well-informed source in an interview with the reporter of Human Rights in Iran: ” On May 6th 2020, Zaniar informed his family by a short call about his detention in Sanandaj Intelligence Department, however after the referring of his family to the mentioned place, security forces stated their own unawareness of Zaniar’s whereabouts.

Individuals have the right to access a fair trial by an impartial tribunal, as enshrined in international human rights instruments, as well as article 10 of the UDHR and article 14 of ICCPR.

In most cases, the extrajudicial and arbitrary detention of individuals with vage and dubious accusations are in the line of suppression of Freedom of Expression and opinion, which in International Instrument of Human Rights, in Article 19 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as in Article 19 of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, adopted on December 16th 1966, there is emphasis on not suppressing of the individuals because of Freedom of Expression and opinion. Regarding the Principle of Freedom of Expression, every individual has the right to express his/her opinions and viewpoints in any way possible, without considering border restrictions.

Article 5 of the Criminal Procedure Code stipulates that the accused shall be informed of the charges and provide access to a lawyer as soon as possible. Other defensive rights are mentioned in law, but extrajudicial actions taken by the security services violate the laws that they themselves drafted and claim to be enforced.
