Plumbing 15 Beauty Salons In Buin Zahra


Human Rights in Iran – Wednesday, September 14, 2022 – The public and revolutionary prosecutor of Buin Zahra, located in Qazvin Province, announced the closure of 15 offending beauty salons in the city.

According to the report of Human Rights in Iran, citing The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB),on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Mohammad Samadi, public and revolutionary prosecutor of Buin Zahra, announced the plumbing of 15 beauty salons in the city due to the publication of photographs of the guilds’ activities in cyberspace.

“According to the reports, some women’s and men’s hairdressers, ignoring the red lines, published images contrary to Islamic ethics and dignity and promoted Western culture,” the Prosecutor of Buin Zahra County said.

“Following the measures taken, 15 beauty salons have been sealed so far in Buin Zahra County, and due to violations and non-compliance with laws and regulations, a judicial case has been filed for their managers,” he added.

The prohibition of individuals’ activities in cyber space is a suppression of freedom of opinion and violates Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, adopted on December 16, 1966, which emphasizes the right of individuals to freely disseminate ideas and opinions in any way possible.
