Ehsan Sarabi was trialled by branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran

Human Rights in Iran – On Sunday, May 3rd 2020, the trial of Ehsan Sarabi, son of Raheleh Raahemipour, living in Tehran was held by branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran. Ehsan Sarabi had been summoned to the hearing in recent days after receiving a written notification.

According to Human Rights in Iran, on Saturday, May 2nd 2020, Ehsan Sarabi, a citizen living in Tehran and son of Raheleh Raahemipour was trialled after attending branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran. Following the refer of IRGC forces his house on December 8th 2019, while arresting his mother Raheleh Raahemipour, Ehsan Sarabi was detained too because of the disputes with the forces and was transferred to IRGC’S ward 2A. After the interrogation process he was released on a bail.

As reported, in the hearing session, Ehsan Sarabi was charged with ” propaganda against the System through interviews with media outside of the country ” and this citizen presented his defense regarding the allegations.

On April 16th 2020, Ehsan Sarabi, a citizen living in Tehran was summoned to attend the hearing due to a summons received, by branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.

It should be noted that 2 days after the release of Ehsan Sarabi’s interviews with the media outside of the country about the legal status and the reason for his arrest by IRGC’S Intelligence, he was summoned again along with his sister, ordered by the Interrogator of branch 2 of the Security Prosecutor’s Office, then he was detained there on the charge of ” propaganda against the System through interviews with media outside of the country ” and was transferred to IRGC’S ward 2A. On December 8th 2019, he was released on a bail of 300 million Tomans.

In the last hours of Tuesday, December 10th 2019, he was summoned in writing along with his sister to branch 2 of Security Prosecutor’s Office in Tehran on charges of ” insulting the officers on duty ” and ” disobeying the officers’ orders “. His sister was released on bsil, but Ehsan Sarabi himself was detained and transferred to Greater Tehran Penitentiary, which was released after a time on a bail.

The detention of citizens for expressing the views and opinions violates the Principle of Freedom of Expression, as well as the International Instrument of Human Rights, Article 19 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and also International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Regarding the Principle of Freedom of Speech, each person has the right to express his/ her viewpoints in any way possible, regardless of boundary restrictions.

Ebrahim Raeesi, the head of Judiciary, on Sunday November 3rd 2019, with his presence at the meeting of Human Rights Supreme Council in Islamic Republic of Iran which was held in attendance of Ali Shamkhani and Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ezhei, two of senior members in the Judiciary and in the Supreme National Security Counci of IRI, mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran under the title of a government that is structurally rooted in accordance with Human Rights Principles.

Also All Khamenei, Islamic Republic leader, in his talks has acclaimed for times that NO citizen in Iran is being prosecuted for their criticism, however the compulsory and ruthlessly suppression and the expanse of security condition and atmosphere is Iran unveils the obvious fact and accentuates the point that the governmental rulers in Iran are the big staff of sophistry, casuistry and arbitrary interpretation.
