Human Rights in Iran – On Wednesday, April 16th 2020, Mahmoud Shahriari, the media activist and former radio and television presenter, was arrested by Security Forces in Tehran and was taken to an unknown location.

According to a reportage by Human Rights in Iran, Mahmoud Shahriari, the former radio and television presenter, was arrested by Security Forces, on Wednesday, April 15th 2020.

Based on this reportage, Mahmoud Shahriari was arrested for ” disseminating false news about corona virus outbreak in Iran “.

In cyberspace, Shahriari had published news, asking citizens to go to stores to buy food and other daily items due to the outbreak of corona virus.
